Affordable Housing Options with small Environmental Footprint

• Propolis Cooperative Housing Society has a goal to provide more housing options at an affordable price, that are built for resilience in an uncertain future and with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We are currently planning our first housing co-op project, with a target to move the first members in by 2026. This new build will contain units of varying sizes and layouts, and offer deeply affordable (but not subsidized) housing for working professionals, seniors, families and students.
  
  To achieve this goal, we have launched Kamloops’ first-ever Community Bond campaign. Community Bonds are interest-bearing loans issued by non-profit organizations to finance ambitious community projects. Individuals and organizations will be offered the opportunity to purchase Propolis’ Community Bonds and earn a return while supporting this incredible project. We intend to raise $1.1 million in Propolis Bonds to purchase the property for our first housing development - a transformative step for the affordable housing landscape in Kamloops.
