Water is needed in Haiti
Mar 6, 2024
Join us Wednesday March 6th at 5pm on Zoom.
Learn more about the needs in Haiti for clean drinking water.
Haiti is so desperate for drinking water in the entire country. This Rotary district is working hard at bringing potable water to one small area in the NE of Haiti. This community called Ferrier is far away from the troubles we hear about in the South of Haiti but they are still without drinking water.
Now is the time to take action.

"Sherry has spent four years working on one small part of bringing water to all of Haiti through Hanwash, a non profit Rotarian led organization. This small area is in the NE corner of Haiti with 5000 people in various villages who have no potable drinking water readily available. They pay five times what they will eventually pay a fifth of that for water brought to their homes one day. Through Hanwash, Sherry has a team that works weekly in meetings, planning and marketing for awareness and funding of this large endeavor to ensure all people of Haiti can have drinking water. Ferrier is the area Sherry works in and since returning back in November, more then ever is inspired to see the well and infrastructure built for the first 80 homes. More funding is needed and more awareness so that we may be able to get more people involved and planning for the next phases to eventually get 5000 people drinking water in this one area of Haiti called Ferrier. Join us on March 6th to hear the progress and needs of the people of Haiti."Sherry Chamberlain, Past Governor and Chair for Haiti Hanwash of D5060.
